Thought-provoking 2,000-word article on the importance of diversity for Enterprise Risk magazine on behalf of Bridgehouse Company Secretaries.

Business challenge:
Sparked by the death of George Floyd, 2020 was the year the Black Lives Matter movement hit the headlines. Client Bridgehouse Company Secretaries was approached by Enterprise Risk magazine to provide a 2,000-word article on the importance of diversity. Bridgehouse briefed me to research and write a highly topical article on the widened topic – the importance of diversity of thought.
Solution:
As this was a sensitive and highly-charged topic, I collaborated closely with Bridgehouse managing director Ibi Eso to agree the structure of the feature and its key messages. I then researched the subject before writing a feature that met the editor’s brief. It explained why diversity of thought is important for all types of organisation, how it can benefit the bottom line and outlined steps to achieve it. Enterprise Risk magazine and LinkedIn published the article in September 2020.
