If you ever need to collaborate with colleagues or business partners on a document here’s how to show them the changes you’ve made at a glance.
When you turn on the ‘Track Changes’ option on your toolbar – the exact route will vary according to what version of Word software you have – any text you then add or delete will be shown in a different colour to the unchanged text. (Hint: Remember to do this before you start making changes!)
Each person’s changes are marked in a different colour so it’s easy to see who’s changed what. What’s more, you can choose whether to show any changes while you work on the document or hide them until you’re ready for them to be displayed.
Then when you’re happy with all the changes that have been made and want to produce a ‘clean’ easy to read version of the text, simply click Review and Accept all Changes.
